Summary
This study tested whether adding a cotton dampener to a vibratory anesthetic device (VAD) makes it more comfortable for patients during skin procedures. Fifty-three adults tried the device with and without cotton on different body areas and reported which they preferred. The goal is to find simple ways to improve patient comfort and reduce pain during dermatologic treatments.
