Adding stomach scope to colonoscopy: worth the cost?
NCT ID NCT07522320
First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks back at hospital records to understand the extra costs of adding an upper stomach endoscopy when people already get a colonoscopy for colorectal cancer screening. It also examines the overall economic burden of treating stomach cancer. About 250 adults aged 50–75 and stomach cancer patients are included. The goal is to see if this extra screening is worth it and how much stomach cancer care really costs.
