First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests whether a high dose of the steroid dexamethasone can reduce hand-foot syndrome—a painful skin reaction—caused by a common breast cancer chemotherapy drug. About 182 adults with breast cancer will receive either high-dose, standard-dose, or no dexamethasone alongside their treatment. The goal is to see if more steroid leads to fewer skin problems.
