NCT ID NCT07152613
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding corticosteroids to standard care can lower the high death rate (60-80%) of a severe lung infection called PJP in people with weakened immune systems who are not HIV-positive. About 240 adults in intensive care will receive different doses of steroids alongside usual treatment. The goal is to see if this approach improves survival at 28 days.
