Can we finally tame steroid side effects in sarcoidosis?
NCT ID NCT07498842
First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at the best way to reduce steroid medication in people with stable sarcoidosis, an inflammatory disease often affecting the lungs. About 100 adults on a low daily steroid dose will be randomly assigned to a standard or faster tapering schedule. The goal is to cut the steroid dose by at least half without causing a flare-up, reducing long-term side effects like diabetes and bone loss.
