Tiny incision, big insight: new study probes Body's response to speeding up braces
NCT ID NCT07514403
First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at how the body responds to a small surgical procedure called corticision, which is done to help move lower front teeth downward during braces treatment. Researchers will measure certain chemicals in the gum fluid and use 3D X-rays to track tooth movement and root changes. The goal is to understand the biological effects of this technique, not to test a cure or treatment for a disease.
