First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests if using a drug-coated balloon (DCB) instead of a regular balloon for the side branch after main artery stenting can reduce major heart problems like heart attack or death within one year. About 784 adults with coronary artery disease and complex blockages at branch points are taking part. The goal is to see if the medicated balloon leads to better outcomes than the standard approach.
