Summary
This study tested whether a supplement made from Cornelian cherries could improve heart, blood vessel, and breathing function in healthy amateur runners. Eighteen runners over age 45 took the cherry supplement or a placebo for four weeks each. Researchers measured their blood pressure, blood vessel resistance, and how their bodies responded to low oxygen.
