First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether briefly soaking a donor cornea in a solution rich in natural growth factors can reduce the loss of important eye cells after transplant surgery. About 100 people with Fuchs' dystrophy or corneal swelling who need a corneal transplant will take part. The goal is to see if this simple step helps keep the transplant healthy longer.
