New eye treatment aims to halt worsening vision

NCT ID NCT04094090

Summary

This study is testing a new medical device called the PXL-Platinum 330 system. It uses a special light treatment called corneal cross-linking to try to stop progressive thinning and bulging of the cornea in conditions like keratoconus. Researchers will enroll 500 patients aged 10 and older to see if this treatment is safe and effective at stabilizing the eye's shape and preserving vision over one year.
