New heart mapping tool aims to improve treatment for persistent AFib

Summary

This study tests a new mapping system (CoreMap) to help doctors treat persistent atrial fibrillation (AFib), a type of irregular heartbeat. About 245 adults with persistent AFib will have a standard ablation procedure guided by this system. The goal is to see if it safely and effectively stops AFib episodes for at least 12 months.
