Scientists measure how amputation affects core strength and balance

NCT ID NCT07203235

Summary

This study aimed to understand how losing a lower leg affects core muscle function, endurance, balance, and walking. Researchers compared 26 adults with a below-knee amputation to adults without an amputation through a series of physical tests. The goal was to gather knowledge to potentially inform future rehabilitation approaches, not to test a treatment.
