Needle to the spine offers hope for unbearable cancer pain

NCT ID NCT04119037

Summary

This study is testing a procedure called cordotomy to see if it can reduce severe pain in people with advanced cancer when other pain treatments haven't worked. Doctors use a needle guided by a CT scan to interrupt pain signals in the spinal cord. The goal is to see if this provides meaningful pain relief and improves quality of life for patients.
