Heart failure patients may get a High-Tech lifeline: a sensor that monitors pressure in the lungs

NCT ID NCT06783335

First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a small sensor placed in the lung artery (the Cordella PA Sensor System) can help people with chronic heart failure by reducing deaths and hospital stays. About 2,150 people will be tracked for two years, comparing those who get the sensor to those who only take standard heart failure medications. The goal is to see if the sensor's real-time pressure readings help doctors adjust treatment earlier and keep patients healthier.
