Summary

This study tested a new way to do cord blood transplants for people with high-risk multiple myeloma, a hard-to-treat blood cancer. Nineteen patients received a special expanded cord blood transplant to see if it was safe and could help control the disease. The goal was to reduce side effects like graft-versus-host disease and improve outcomes.
