Double-Donor transplant offers new hope for rare blood disease

NCT ID NCT07499284

Summary

This study is testing a two-part stem cell transplant for people with aplastic anemia, a serious blood disorder. It combines cells from a partially matched family donor with cells from donated umbilical cord blood. Researchers hope this combination helps the transplant succeed more reliably and reduces serious side effects. The study will measure how well patients survive, how quickly their blood counts recover, and their quality of life after the procedure.
