Could cord blood hold the key to slowing Alzheimer's?

NCT ID NCT07208344

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether infusions of cells from donated umbilical cord blood can help improve or stabilize thinking skills and daily function in people with Alzheimer's disease. Thirty participants with mild to moderate Alzheimer's will receive either a low dose, a high dose, or a placebo infusion alongside their standard care. Researchers will track changes in memory, daily activities, and brain health markers over six months to see if the treatment is safe and shows promise.
