First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This pilot study tests whether the nutritional supplement coenzyme Q10 can reduce symptoms and improve quality of life in 20 people affected by the 2023 East Palestine, Ohio train derailment. Participants must have lived within 10 miles of the derailment and have persistent multi-symptom illness. The study is small and designed to gather data for a larger future trial, not to prove benefit.
