Vitamin-Like pill may shield nerves from chemo damage
NCT ID NCT07307911
Summary
This study tested whether taking a Coenzyme Q10 supplement could help protect nerves and reduce side effects like pain, numbness, and fatigue in women receiving paclitaxel chemotherapy for breast cancer. Fifty women were randomly assigned to receive either the supplement along with their chemo or chemo alone for 12 weeks. Researchers measured patients' symptoms and looked for blood markers related to nerve health to see if CoQ10 made a difference.
