New study uses advanced MRI to see how triple inhaler helps COPD patients
NCT ID NCT07192016
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at how a once-daily triple inhaler (fluticasone furoate, umeclidinium, and vilanterol) affects lung function in adults with COPD. About 60 participants aged 50-85 will take the inhaler daily for 12 weeks (with an optional extension to 48 weeks) and undergo special lung MRI scans and breathing tests. The goal is to see if the medication improves air flow in the lungs and how that relates to standard lung function measures.
