First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at whether measuring thigh size with a tape measure and muscle stiffness with a special ultrasound can help track muscle health in people with COPD. About 30 adults starting pulmonary rehabilitation will take part. The goal is to find a simple, non-invasive way to monitor muscle problems that are linked to worse outcomes in COPD.
