First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at two simple methods—measuring thigh size with a tape and using ultrasound to check muscle stiffness—to see if they can help track muscle loss in people with COPD. About 30 adults starting pulmonary rehabilitation will take part. The goal is to find better ways to monitor muscle health without complex equipment.
