Body scan could predict danger for COPD patients
NCT ID NCT07136246
Summary
This study aimed to understand and predict health risks for older adults with COPD who also have a specific condition involving muscle loss and obesity. Researchers used a simple, non-invasive body scan to measure body composition in 200 participants. The goal was to see if this scan could help identify patients at higher risk for worse symptoms, hospital visits, or other poor outcomes.
