First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests a new treatment called Targeted Lung Denervation (TLD) for people with moderate to severe COPD. The procedure uses a catheter to calm overactive nerves in the lungs, aiming to reduce symptoms like breathlessness and prevent flare-ups. About 300 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the TLD treatment or a sham procedure, then followed for several months to check safety and effectiveness.
