Home ventilator Check-Ups go digital: can remote monitoring keep COPD patients out of the hospital?

NCT ID NCT05287555

Summary

This study tested whether using technology to remotely monitor home ventilators for people with severe COPD could improve their care. It compared this remote monitoring approach to the standard method of having patients come into the hospital for check-ups every six months. The goal was to see if the remote system helped patients use their ventilators more consistently and reduced their need for hospital visits.
