New breathing device helps COPD patients push harder in rehab
NCT ID NCT07497230
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether adding a special high-flow nasal oxygen device to standard exercise rehabilitation could help people with COPD. Thirty patients were split into two groups: one did standard rehab, and the other used the device during treadmill sessions. The goal was to see if the device was safe and practical to use, and if it allowed patients to exercise at a higher intensity to potentially improve their fitness and breathing.
