Scientists test if new breathing exercises help lungs get more oxygen
NCT ID NCT07267923
Summary
This study aims to understand how two different types of breathing muscle training affect oxygen levels in the muscles of people with COPD. Twenty participants with moderate to severe COPD will try both a traditional and a newer 'functional' training method on separate days, followed by a short walking test. Researchers will measure muscle oxygen, fatigue, breathlessness, heart rate, and blood oxygen levels to see if one method is better.
