Race against time: chilling newborns to save their brains

Summary
This study aimed to find the best cooling treatment for newborns who suffer brain injury from lack of oxygen during birth. It tested four different combinations of cooling temperature and duration, starting within six hours of birth. The goal was to see if longer or colder cooling could better reduce the risk of death or severe disability by the time the child was 18-22 months old.
