Cooling down brain injury: new hope for newborns?

Summary
This study tested four different cooling methods for newborns who suffered brain injury from lack of oxygen around birth. The goal was to see if longer or deeper cooling could reduce the chance of death or long-term disability. The trial included 364 babies and compared cooling for 72 vs 120 hours at two different temperatures.
