Race against time: can longer cooling save young brains after cardiac arrest?

Summary

This study aims to find the best cooling duration to protect brain function in children who survive a cardiac arrest outside the hospital. Researchers will compare different cooling times in 900 comatose children to see which leads to better recovery one year later. The goal is to reduce brain damage and improve long-term outcomes for these young patients.
