Chilling dialysis fluid could shield Patients' minds from decline

NCT ID NCT07377500

Summary

This study aims to see if slightly cooling the fluid used during kidney dialysis helps protect patients' thinking and memory. Over 350 adults on regular dialysis will be randomly assigned to receive either standard treatment or cooled dialysis for one year. Researchers will compare memory test results to find out if this simple change helps slow the cognitive decline many dialysis patients experience.
