First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests a new freezing tool called CoolCryo to treat atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat) in people who are already having mitral valve surgery. About 20 adults will receive the freezing treatment during their operation. The main goal is to see if the heartbeat returns to normal and stays that way for 6 months, and to check for any side effects.
