Freezing the heart to stop dangerous rhythm during valve repair
NCT ID NCT06557616
Summary
This study is testing a medical device called the CoolCryo system. It uses extreme cold to treat a specific type of irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation) in patients who are already having surgery to fix a leaky heart valve. The goal is to see if adding this freezing procedure during surgery is safe and can help control the irregular heartbeat long-term.
