This study aimed to better understand conversion disorder, a condition where psychological stress causes physical symptoms like paralysis or weakness. Researchers analyzed blood samples and brain scans from 20 adults experiencing their first episode within the past month. They looked for connections between inflammation markers in the blood and patterns of brain activity to find potential biological clues for diagnosis.
