Summary
This study looked at whether gently pulling on the umbilical cord (controlled cord traction) after childbirth helps prevent heavy bleeding (postpartum hemorrhage). Over 4,300 women who had a vaginal birth took part. The goal was to see if this technique works better than waiting for the placenta to come out on its own.
