Mind over back pain: study tests if expectations boost treatment results

Summary
This study looks at whether what you expect from a back pain treatment can actually change how much pain relief you get and how your body responds. Researchers will have 73 adults with chronic low back pain watch a short video of someone having a positive, neutral, or negative experience with spinal manipulation before receiving the same treatment themselves. The goal is to see if these different expectations affect pain, movement, stress, and blood markers of inflammation.
