Camera could replace Hands-On checks for dialysis patients

NCT ID NCT07194395

Summary

This study is testing a new contactless camera system called PatenSee to see if it can monitor the health of a dialysis patient's vascular access as well as a nurse's hands-on exam. Up to 120 adults on long-term hemodialysis will have their access checked weekly with the camera system for 6 weeks, then every other week for up to a year. The goal is to see if the camera's images and sound analysis agree with the standard 'look, listen, and feel' clinical exam.
