First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This early-stage study tests a special contact lens that slowly releases medicine to treat recurrent cystoid macular edema, a condition causing vision loss from fluid buildup in the eye. Six adults who need steroid treatment will wear the lens for up to 28 days. The goal is to see if the lens is safe, comfortable, and a practical alternative to eye drops or injections.
