Scientists hunt genetic clues to mysterious birth defect
NCT ID NCT00950118
Summary
This study aims to discover which genes might make someone more likely to be born with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH), a serious birth defect. Researchers will collect DNA samples from 3000 people, including those with CDH and their family members, to look for genetic patterns. The goal is to understand the root causes of CDH, which could one day lead to better ways to prevent or treat it.
