New scanner could cut repeat breast surgeries

Summary

This study tests a special scanner that helps surgeons see if all cancer has been removed during breast-conserving surgery. About 100 women with invasive breast cancer will take part. The goal is to see if using the scanner reduces the need for a second surgery.
