First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tested a special microscope (confocal endomicroscopy) that can be inserted through a bronchoscope to look at lung nodules in real time. The goal was to see if it can find nodules and tell whether they are cancerous or benign without needing to remove tissue. 120 adults with lung nodules took part across three hospitals in France.
