New test aims to clear athletes for play after head injury

NCT ID NCT05013307

Summary

This study is testing a new exercise assessment called CASE to help doctors decide when young athletes can safely return to sports after a concussion. Researchers will measure heart rate, blood pressure, and symptoms during sport-like exercises in 125 athletes aged 10-22 who have recovered from a concussion. The goal is to see if this test can better identify athletes who aren't ready to return to play.
