Spit test could predict how long Teens' concussion symptoms last

NCT ID NCT04582682

Summary

This study aims to create a simple saliva test that can predict how long concussion symptoms will last in teenagers. Researchers are collecting saliva samples from 750 teens shortly after their injury and tracking their symptoms for 30 days. The goal is to see if changes in saliva can accurately forecast recovery time, helping doctors make better decisions about when teens can return to school and sports.
