Light and magnets tested to heal stubborn diabetic foot wounds

Summary
This study is testing a device that uses light and magnetic energy to help heal diabetic foot ulcers that haven't responded to standard care. About 450 adults with a specific type of foot sore will be randomly assigned to receive either the real device or a look-alike 'sham' device, along with their usual wound care. Researchers will track how quickly and completely the wounds heal over 24 weeks to see if the new treatment works better.
