Scientists build digital hearts to crack code of irregular heartbeat

NCT ID NCT05057507

Summary

This study aims to understand why the standard treatment for atrial fibrillation (AFib) doesn't work for everyone. Researchers will create detailed computer models of patients' hearts to identify the unique electrical circuits causing their irregular heartbeat. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day lead to personalized treatment plans, improving success rates for the ablation procedure.
