Scientists probe immune link to diabetic kidney damage

NCT ID NCT07292493

Summary

This study aims to understand how part of the immune system, called the complement system, contributes to kidney damage in people with diabetes. Researchers will measure specific proteins in the blood and urine of 90 participants with diabetic kidney disease to see if immune system activity is linked to kidney function and blood vessel health. The goal is to gather knowledge that could inform future treatments, not to test a new therapy directly.
