Can talking it out help ease the heavy burden on our frontline healthcare heroes?
NCT ID NCT07450339
Summary
This study aimed to understand and measure 'compassion fatigue'—a mix of burnout and work-related stress—in doctors, nurses, and assistants working in the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit. Researchers surveyed 159 staff members, held group discussions over 18 months, and then surveyed them again to see if their stress levels changed. The goal was to learn what factors might protect against or contribute to this type of exhaustion in high-pressure medical settings.
