Wrist surgery showdown: which procedure saves your grip?
NCT ID NCT03315377
Summary
This study compares two surgical procedures for people with advanced wrist arthritis from old injuries. Researchers want to see if a newer surgery (lunate-capitate fusion) works as well as the standard surgery (four-corner fusion) at preserving grip strength and wrist function. The study will follow 64 patients for two years after surgery to measure their recovery.
