Which ventilator keeps patients safer during transport?

NCT ID NCT07198269

Summary

This study aims to compare two different transport ventilators to see if a newer model (TV80) keeps oxygen levels as stable as a commonly used model (HAMILTON-T1) when moving critically ill patients between hospital locations or between hospitals. Researchers will enroll 98 adult patients who are already on breathing machines and need to be transported. They will randomly assign patients to one ventilator or the other during transport and measure changes in oxygen levels and other vital signs.
