First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026
Summary
This study compares two surgical techniques for people with severe neck spinal cord compression caused by a hardened ligament. About 167 adults will be randomly assigned to receive either a newer front-of-neck procedure (ACAF) or a standard back-of-neck procedure (laminoplasty). The goal is to see which surgery better restores arm, leg, and bladder function over two years.
